Connecticut's Jordan Todman Will Declare for NFL Draft

Filed under:

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Jordan Todman was a big part of Connecticut's offense on Saturday, carrying the ball 32 times for 121 yards during the Huskies' 48-20 loss to Oklahoma in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

Next season, UConn will have to find those yards somewhere else.

Todman, who finished second in the nation this season with 1,574 yards rushing, announced that he will skip his senior year and enter the NFL Draft.

"I sat down with my family and friends and did a lot of thinking," Todman said. "I think the best decision for me is to declare into the NFL Draft this year."

UConn coach Randy Edsall seemed to be in full agreement that this was indeed the right move for Todman.
