The NFL Players Association has filed a collusion case against the NFL, the union confirmed Tuesday.Union spokesman George Atallah said he can't comment on the details of the collusion case, but the reported focus is on player accusations that team owners improperly conspired to restrict players' salaries in the 2010 offseason.
It's unknown which teams and players are cited in the case. But the allegations reportedly center on the lack of activity in restricted free agency last year, as free agency rules changed entering what was an uncapped season. The union will have to prove that owners conspired to keep salaries low.
The case was originally set to be filed in December to meet a deadline in the CBA, but that was delayed because of an agreement between the two sides.
