Robbie Findley Signs With England's Nottingham Forest

U.S. national team forward Robbie Findley will be showcasing his beguiling (and often infuriating) combination of athleticism and clumsiness in the English second division beginning next month after reaching a 2.5-year deal with one-time European power Nottingham Forest.

Findley must secure a work permit to validate the contract, which should not be too much trouble for a player whose 10 appearances in 14 national team games this year was equaled by only Michael Bradley and Jonathan Bornstein.

"With his great pace and progression in the game at the moment we feel he will be an excellent addition to Forest in the Championship," Nottingham coach Billy Davies said on Thursday.

"He's got electric pace and the ability to cause problems. Robbie has got an eye for goal and he's a player who is desperate to play on this kind of stage."
